A source said on August 9, 1973, about 500 Khmer rebels equipped with guns came to hide themselves in villages and they divided into 2 groups. The first group of 300 soldiers hid themselves in Chrork Russey village at VT 399-569 in Samrong Tong district. The second group of 200 men hid themselves in Trapeang Ken, Srey Sampong , Kbal Tralach village and Kdei Prasat pagoda in Pneay sub-district, Peang Lvea district. Those attempted to attack defence line in Kampong Speu town in the near future.
តាមប្រភពបានឱ្យដឹងថា នៅថ្ងៃ០៩ ខែសីហា ឆ្នាំ១៩៧៣ ពួកខ្មែរឧទ្ទាមប្រហែលជា៥០០នាក់ ប្រដាប់ដោយអាវុធគ្រប់ដៃ បានចូលលាក់ ខ្លួននៅតាមភូមិនានា។ ពួកខ្មែរឧទ្ទាម ទាំងអស់នេះបាន ចែកចេញជា ២ក្រុម។ ក្រុមទី១ មានកម្លាំងទាំងអស់៣០០នាក់ ហើយបានលាក់ ខ្លួនក្នុងភូមិច្រកឫស្សីវ៉េតេ៣៩៩-៥៦៩ ក្នុងស្រុកសំរោងទង។ ក្រុមទី២ មាន២០០នាក់ បានចូល មកលាក់ខ្លួននៅក្នុងត្រពាំងគិន វត្ដក្ដីប្រាសាទ ភូមិស្រីសំពោង ភូមិក្បាលត្រឡាច ក្នុងឃុំព្នាយ ស្រុកពាំងល្វា។ គោលបំណងរបស់ ពួកវាគឺប្រុងវាយប្រហារខ្សែ ក្រវ៉ាត់ការពារក្រុងកំពង់ស្ពឺក្នុង ពេលខាងមុខនេះ។
