The most important headquarters in Takeo Province was in Prey Kabbas District, known as District 55. Almost all of the April 17 people were evacuated, along with the local population, to Phnom Angkor Borei, which was called the autonomous region for building a new territory. From 1975 to 1979, there were numerous tragedies inflicted upon the April 17 people and the local population; both the elderly and children died from starvation and mass executions around Phnom Da.
ទីស្នាក់ការសំខាន់បំផុតនៅខេត្ដតាកែវ។ គឺនៅស្រុកព្រៃកប្បាស ដែលហៅថាស្រុក៥៥។ ប្រជាជន ១៧ មេសា ស្ទើរតែទាំងអស់ត្រួវបានជម្លៀសរហូតដល់ប្រជាជនមូលដ្ឋាន យកទៅភ្នំអង្គបូរី ដែលគេហៅថាតំបន់ស្វយ័តកសាងទឹកដីថ្មី ហើយពេលចេញពី៧៥ រហូតដល់៧៩ គឺមានសោកវិនាសកម្ម ច្រើនណាស់មក លើប្រជាជន១៧មេសា​ និងប្រជាជនមូលដ្ឋាន គឺទាំងចាស់ ទាំងក្មេង បានស្លាប់ដោយសារភាពអត់ឃ្លាននិងការសម្លាប់យ៉ាងរង្គាលនៅជុំវិញភ្នំដា។
