Ouch Piset

Ouch Piset was a former military police unit of republic Cambodia. In 1961 he joined MP unit in Takeo and held a position of second MP. In 1968 he was transferened to work at Ton Lorp market with second Lieutenant So Han for 9months. In 1970 he was changed to Prei Yuthka check point. After a month, on 23 March 1970 at 3 A.M fifty strong Khmer Rouge attacked the check point for 30 minutes. Finally, all Piset's colleague were arrested and detained at Ta Yung Kor mountain the West of Ton Lorp market for 2months. They were forced to join Khmer rouge "if they refuse, they will be killed". In May 1970, Khmer rouge sent Piset to learn theory in order to reinforce his morality and consciousness. The class consisted of 130 students included the local people. After finishing this five months course he came to work at regiment 510, which had 100 people, whose chief commander was Nam Thou. He was also Ang Yang provincal govenor. In regiment 510, Ngvieng yang was a commander. In 1972 this regiment was handed to khmer to take over by chief commander Nam Thou. And Nam Thou looked after regiment 515 which were all vietnamese at Angkor Borey. Vietnamese stored food supplies at Wat Lok yourn. At that time Piset was sent by procincial secretary Phen, former Khmer rouge to study politics at Prey A. VT 682 337 for 5 months, and Phen was a trainer. After the course Piset took control the molitary at Chhum Rah Pen and Khvav commune for 2months. The same 1972, former Khmer rouge Ta Phen sent Poset to study politics at Trapang Trakiek for 15 days, Ta lon was a trainer. After the class chief commander Ouch Sinat to hold a position of a chief of fifty strong unit and Norn was a deputy chief working at Kai Rong national road 3 for 3months. In April 1973, Piset leaded a troop to Srei Bandit Village in order to claim back the control from Vietnamese. After the claiming was sucessful zone chief, Sao Duch asked Piset to attain the class which is located in the west of Wat Bor Set for 1month and Sao Duch was a teacher. In the same 1973, after the course he had to work at Bati district commissariat to organize people to work in group, in association and worl together. In the late 1973 the zone chief Sao Duch appointed Piset to be a chief of staff of battalion 202 in region 33 at Bati district department. This battalion make up of 400 soldiers. Ung Hut and clea Bun, who were former Khmer Isarak, was the commanders. This battalion attacked the road ៈ2 four times, and it took 15 days. They occupied only one section in Prey Lvea in the east of Samrong Yorng. In March 1974 this battalion raided Tram Khnar for 2 or 3 days, in order to estimate their force. After that zone chief , Sao Duch let Piset to relax five days in the west of Wat Bor Set. Then he resigned Piset for the work. 5 days after dissmission, Piset persuaded Uk Chhy and Uk Kung to defect to authority with battalion ៈ507, stationed in Wat Samrong.
