The loss of family members: In February, 1976, my father, Lip Matt, and mother, Kep Py, were evacuated to Kampong Chhnang Province by the Khmer Rouge. At that time, they evacuated us from Babos Village, Samrong Commune to Kampong Chhnang. I do not know who ordered the evacuation. After 1979, I asked a person (whose name I do not recall) about my parents and they informed me that my parents were executed by the Khmer Rouge in Kampong Chhnang. I do not know who the executioners were, who ordered the killing, or where they were executed. In 1977, all of the family members of my brother, Matt Sann, were arrested at Andong Tik Village. At that time, there were two to three Khmer Rouge security police who came to arrest him, tie his hands behind his back, and load him onto the truck. I do not know where he was taken. I do not know who ordered the arrest or who came to arrest him. I learned of this incident from Tes Yah (currently living in Malaysia). My brother’s family was arrested on the accusation of being the enemy of Angkar. I do not know where they died. I think that they died, because at the time, being arrested meant death. Mode of participation: I want to file the application form to be a complainant, because I have aged. I have a disease (swelling and a disease which causes exhaustion) and am not able to travel far. Also, my leg is disabled. |
