Crimes against religion: Between 1975 and 1979, the mosque at O Trav center of Andaung Thma Commune was destroyed by a mobile work brigade of the Khmer Rouge. During that time, I was young. The people who destroyed the mosque did not allow people to worship. I did not know who were the security police or village chief. Moreover, my uncle, Loh (deceased) witnessed Chams who prayed and were then taken away and executed by the Khmer Rouge. He informed me that the incident took place inside O Trav center, but I do not recall the year in which the incident took place. I do not know the names of the Khmer Rouge who captured and executed the Chams. Furthermore, they forced us to eat pork. We dared not confront them, because we were afraid of being executed. I do not recall the names of the chef or cooperative chief. When our people died, they did not allow us to hold a religious ceremony. During that time, my sister, Nop Des, (currently living in this village), witnessed the incident and has lived trough the regime. I do not know who ordered the mosque to be closed, forced Chams to eat pork, or prohibited our people from holding religious ceremonies. There was no one but upper level Angkar in charge. Mode of participation: I want to file the application form to be a complainant, because I am busy as follows: 1. I am busy with my business. 2. I am busy looking after the children. 3. I am a religious leader. I am satisfied that I have filed the application form to be a complainant, because I have participated in the process of prosecuting the Khmer Rouge leaders. |
