Chuon Vanny aka Nin, soldier in state commerce department and Nhem's messenger, confessed that Thorn, list chief of state commerce in Phom Penh, and Han, state commerce for foreign affair, were instructed by Nhem to build up forces in Ministry of Commerce. In November 1976, Thorn joined the meeting in order to receive plan to attack Phnom Penh from Nhem. Thorn was appointed commander in charge of leading the army raiding into Phnom Penh.
ជួន វ៉ាន់នី ហៅ នីន យុទ្ធជនពាណិជ្ជកម្មរដ្ឋ និរសា«ញ៉ែម»បាន សារភាពថា ឈ្មោះធន ប្រធានបញ្ជីពាណិជ្ជកម្មរដ្ឋភ្នំពេញ និង ហាន ពាណិជ្ជកម្មរដ្ឋក្រៅប្រទេស ត្រូវបាន ញ៉ែមចល័តអោយកសាង កម្លាំងនៅក្រសួងពាណិជ្ជកម្ម។ ខែ១១-១៩៧៦ ធនបានចូលរួម ប្រជុំទទួលផែនការវាយទីក្រុងភ្នំពេញពីញ៉ែម។ ធនទទួលភារកិច្ចជា មេទ័ព រួមសកម្មភាពដឹកនាំវាយចូលទីក្រុងភ្នំពេញ។
