Introduction: Preservation Memorialization, and Document. In exploring the issue of preserving genocide sites in Rowanda, I have been struck by the exten to which preservation / restoration must be consideration in conjunction with, but also separate from two related areas of activity memorialization commonoration and document/ reserch. Although these three areas ofter overlap and may an ordered progression of activity in certain sitting they have fundamentally different methods and aims and often serve to advance different agendas.
