King Bhumiphol and Princess Sirindhorn of Thailand granted an hour long audience to Ieng Sary. Cambodia would consider participation in the Mekong Project next year according to Deputy Prime Minister Sunthorn Hongladarom. The two countries agreed to end border conflicts, forget the past and start a new era of friendly relations. Thailand and Cambodia agreed to exchange ambassadors, trade delegatio ns, technical and scientific information and set up telegraphic communication.
