Summary / Abstract :
On Jan 28, 1977, 10 pm, Cambodian troops invaded Thailand and attacked the villages of Ban Non Do (Ban Nong Dor), Ban Klong Ko (Ban Klong Kor)and Ban Noi Parai in Aranyaprathet District, Prachinburi P rovince. Twenty-nine people were killed and many were wounded. All houses in Ban Nong Do and Ban Klong Ko villages were burnt down. One hour later, another Cambodian troop raided the Thai police outpo st in klong Luk (Klong Luek)District of Prachinburi Province. They killed one police officer and wounded ten others. The Thai foreign ministry handed a protest note over to Cambodia indicating that Ca mbodian forces had committed barbaric and violated Thailand's sovereignty, the international law and morality. The Thai government demanded that Cambodia accept full responsibility and make just compe nsation for the victims.
