Summary / Abstract :

The U.S. had so little information about the Khmer Rouge, whose forces had expanded rapidly during the Lon Nol regime. The Khmer Rouge had united with the Sihanoukist forces. They were independent mov ement despite support from both North Vietnam and China. However, there was a rumour that relations between North Vietnam and the Khmer Rouge were not smooth.
