The Cambodian government denounced the U.S. for bombing Siem Reap on Feb 25, 1976, which killed 15 people and wounded over 30 others. The unnamed source at the Thai foreign ministry said the action wa s the work of the U.S. and the Thai military. The Thai Foreign Minister, General Chatichai Choonhavan, said it was unbelievable since there was no F-111 fighter jet stationed in the U.S. bases in Thai land. A column in Bangkok Post newspaper said Cambodia was a barbarian country and lied about the fact that the bombing was a work of the Cambodian opposition forces.
