Summary / Abstract :
The document described simultaneous attacks on Thai border villages by the Khmer Rouge. On the night of January 28, 1977, around 300 armed Khmer Rouge soldiers launched a three-pronged attack on three Thai villages in Prachinburi Province. They gunned down everybody in sight, raped women, disfigured the bodies and slashed the throats of children and babies. Before they were driven back, they set f ire to the crops and slaughtered animals. At Ban Nong Dor, 21 villagers were killed including a pregnant woman, children and babies. All of the houses were burned down. At Ban Klong Kor, eight people were killed and all of the houses burned down. At Ban Noi Parai, all 200 residents were forced to abandon their homes and a large number of people were seriously wounded. This document was distributed to press and all of the embassies in Bangkok.
