Summary / Abstract :
|
This is a very well-annotated collection on the Holocaust and genocide specifically geared for educators, but is also well suited for junior and senior high school and college students. The bibliograp hy is divided into five parts: "Children's books and adult books" (each of these are divided into sub-sections), "German culture," "Genocide of the Armenian people," and "Choosing to participate" (wor ks dealing with models of citizen participation in American history). There are also five appendices: "Basic reading lists," "Literature as history: Myth vs. reality," "Legacy of the Holocaust: A supp lementary reading list," and "Genocide of the Cambodian people". (Jan Darsa).
