Meach Suon, a Khmer student from France, joined the CIA in Nangcy city on 10 May 1975, and came back to Cambodia on 17 December 1975 to contact the CIA network notably Phan Si Pho and Meach Soy, in or der to assess situation in and outside the country. [Meach Suon]came in search of Norodom Thanaraote, nicknamed Thouch and called Comrade Voun to bring information out of the country. Upon his arrival in Cambodia, [Meach Suon]inspired students to believe in the leadership of the revolution.
