Summary / Abstract :
|
Nou Sophal [allegedly]had a background as a rival against the revolution from 1968 and was a CIA agent for the "Black Eagle" network of Men Chhom and Chhouk Ming Mao. In 1970, [Sophal]infiltrated the line of the revolution and propagandized people to hold demonstrations against the revolution in Kampong Svay District, Kampong Thom Province. In 1974, [Sophal]was transferred to the Norhern Zone as a combatant, and damaged cars and motobikes. [Sophal]later went to live at an animal husbandry center, killed animals, transported rice and medical drugs to Samtouk District to prepare a plan to attack Phnom Penh, blew up bridges and warehouses, killed cadres staying in hospital, and secretly made up artificial mines for later use, until arrested on 15 November, 1976, by Angkar.
