Summary / Abstract :
In 1964, Heng Sokchhay joined the Free Khmer, then kept track on Khmer Rouge activities and spread leaflets at rubber plantations. In 1970, [Sokchhay]infiltrated the revolution as a combatant. [Sokchh ay]then persuaded soldiers not to fight against Lon Nol troops, but to allow them into the defense line, killing many of our soldiers and destroying ammunition in the battle. After the liberation in 1 975, [Sokchhay]gathered weapons and foodstuff, and escaped to Region 22 in preparation for a plan to counter-attack the revolution. In addition, [Sokchhay]was also a messenger whose assignment was to carry messages from Phnom Penh to Region 22. On 20 May, 1977, [Sokchhay]was arrested by Angkar.
