Summary / Abstract :
In 1959 Mart Touch, spelled "Mat Touch" on the front cover of his confession, where he identifies himself as Meakh Touch, started adhering to the revolutionary movement by being educated on the revolu tionary line by "Brother" Vorn and "Brother" Yem. In 1961, Touch became a backbone member, and on 16 April 1962 Touch was introduced to the party by "Brother" Eb On whose membership was approved by "B rother" Vorn and was admitted into the Communist Party of Kampuchea. In 1963, Touch was transferred by the government authority to work with Koy Thuon, who was in charge of Kampong Cham Region. In Nov ember 1963, Touch was entrusted by Koy Thuon with implementing new tasks to be responsible for taking care of the office and to be messenger from Kampong Cham to Phnom Penh. On 20 December, 1964, Touc h was again educated and encouraged to join the CIA. Touch's assignment was to : 1)build up CIA purposes and spread public rumors to cause turbulance among the masses; and 3)infiltrate and spy in the revolution, to destroy the revolution and people. After the 17 April, 1975 liberation, Touch was transferred by Khuon to work in Phnom Penh city. By late May 1975, Touch was assigned by Khuon to be De puty Chief of a capital state market. By mid June 1975, Touch was reassigned by the committee of Commerce as Chief of the capital state market. After withrawn by Angkar, to hold the position of Head o f Protocol Office int he Foreign Ministry. On 22 February, 1976, with the approval of Angkar, Touch was appointed Ambassador of the Democratic Kampuchea to Laos. In Laos, Touch conducted actions such as encouraging Cambodian people living in Laos to hate the revolution and callaborated with the Vietnamese Embassy in Laos to build up as many Khmer forces in Laos as possible, to be mobilized along t he Cambodian-Thai border in a move toward staging a coup against the revolution of the Democratic Party of Kampuchea. At the end of January, 1977, Touch returned to Cambodia upon the request of Angkar to discuss some problems. Touch arrived in Phnom Penh on January 4, 1977, Touch was sent by Angkar to the Ministry of Interior.
