Summary / Abstract :

Cheung Chhuon [allegedly]was a CIA spy from 1970. At that time, [Chhuon]inspired people to oppose Pol Pot, provoked religious conflict, and incited sabotage. During 1975-76, [Chhuon]contacted Thailand in order to strengthen military forces and ask for assistance from Thailand for staging coup d'état. [Chhuon]then incited people to burn and destroy vehicles and other property in the Ministry of Com merce. Moreover, [Chhuon]built up traitorous forces inside the Ministry of Commerce. In September, 1977, [Chhuon]was arrested by Pol Pot's Angkar.
