Summary / Abstract :
|
In 1947, Sous Phon [allegedly]was a Free Khmer party member. In 1951, [Phon]joined the Chinese Communist Party and was indoctrinated by Chhouk, in 1966, to build up the party and put the party under t he centralized control of Ho Chi Minh. In 1967, [Phon]was involved in Vietnamese infiltrating in Cambodia and supplied the Vietnamese troops in charge of ammunition, which was to be given to anti-Khme r Rouge troops. After the liberation, [Phon]planned a coup, which was supported by the Vietnamese. [Phon]propagandized against collectivization, built up troops for a coup in Svay Rieng and transporte d rice to Vietnam in order to get help from the Vietmanese for the Svay Rieng coup. On 8 March, 1978, [Sous Phon]was arrested by Angkar.
