Summary / Abstract :

Kep Sophon was a student in Battambang High School. In 1967, [Kep Sophon]was [allegedly]educated by the school conservation committee in Battambang to join the CIA to be a reporter for a private newsp aper "Phnom Daunpenh". In 1968, [Sophon]was sent to Pailin to keep track of Khmer Rouge supporters who provided food supplies to the Khmer Rouge from Pailin to Viel Reap. In 1969, [Sophon]infiltrated the revolution, then progandized students to hate communistsm, and investigated the revolution's student network. In 1975, traitorous leaders gathered CIA networks to be positioned in Region 5 in orde r to inspire people to oppose the collective regime. They made contact with Thailand to contact CIA lines, and infiltrated Theatrical Units to be biased towards former times. [Kep Sophon]arrested by A ngkar on 2 July 1977.
