Summary / Abstract :

In 1963, Ban Saroeun [allegedly]joined the revolution, and was educated to betray the revolution by Koy Thoun in Kampong Cham. In 1967, Ban was assigned by Koy base and kill any commune chief who woul d not join the Free Khmer forces. [Ban Saroeun]then propagandized an exaggeration of the party line, and destroyed oil stores and oil pumps. In 1975, Ban became an Under-Secretary in Region 505, Krati e province, still continued building up Free Khmer forces, contacted Vietnam to ask for weapons in reserve for a coup, and hindered the party's rice growing plan. On 22 April, 1977, [Ban]was arrested by Angkar.
