Summary / Abstract :
|
In 1964, Pen Vassai [allegedly]joined the CIA, and started an involvement in Khmer Rouge activities, educated students to believe in capitalism, and built up CIA forces among student and other associa tions. In 1970, [Vassai]went to France to build up CIA forces, persuade students living there not to return to their own country, and spread propaganda that the war was started by the Khmer Rouge. In 1974, [Vassai]came back to Cambodia and then was educated by Ieng Sary to join the Communist Party. At that time, [Vassai]started to conduct traitorous actions and destroyed plans Angkar assigned him to work on. In 1978, [Pen Vassai]was arrested.
