Summary / Abstract :

Duk Rot was a spy for a Commune Chief, to spy on Khmer Rouge activities, and was educated by the Commune Chief to join the CIA in 1965, and then began to build up CIA forces in the commune. In 1970, [ Rot]infiltrated the revolution in Region 5. At that time, [Rot]incited people to get into conflict with Angkar by arguing that the region was short of food, while their regions had enough to eat. This made people go and join the troops (Lon Nol), undermining the movement to attack enemies in battle. During 1975-76, [Rot]hid rice in Yeang Village in reserve for a coup. On 5 August, 1977, [Rot]was a rrested by Angkar.
