In 1972, Nop Sarou joined the revolution in Santok District, Kampong Thom, as a combatant, and was later assigned by Angkar to be a Deputy Chief of Collective in Phnom Sdok Sdom. In 1976, [Nop Sarou]w as educated by Mao, who spoke ill of the revolution, to oppose the revolution, and had a plan arranged to attack the revolution in Tang Krosang. At that time, [Sarou]put foodstuff aside by extracting rations from people, to be reserved in case of occurrence of events, but the plan failed. [Nop Sarou]was later arrested by Angkar.
