Summary / Abstract :
|
Tep Bunthy was introduced by [his]father to spy on Khmer Rouge activities at schools and universities. In 1970, [Bunthy]joined the CIA and indoctrinated students to resist the revolution. [Bunthy]prai sed commandos to the students. [Bunthy]inspired them to stage demonstrations comdemning the revolution for not agreeing to join the negotiation conference in Paris. The conference focused on the war i n Indo-China. The demonstration also condemned the violent attack in Phnom Penh by the Khmer Rouge. After the liberation in 1975, in the Northwest Zone, [Bunthy]persuaded people to join the CIA, destr oy rice, hide supplies and to escape to Thailand to join In Tam troops. On 15 July, 1976, [Tep Bunthy]was arrested by Angkar.
