Summary / Abstract :

In 1969, Pen Youy [allegedly]joined CIA, propagandized people to hate the Khmer Rouge, spied on Khmer Rouge secrets for soldiers and built up CIA forces. In 1971, [Youy]joined troops in Region 1, enco uraged youth to sharpen spikes thinly so they were no use to scatter on roads, and inspired combatants to be afraid of battle. In 1975, [Pen Youy]inspired people to sow rice seeds without pulling out weeds in order to oppose the party plan, Youy ordered sick people to work, and if they did not work, they would be starved, so that people thought the revolution was bad. During 1976-77, Youy inspired people to escape into the forest to be guerillas, transported food supplies for guerrillas in reserve for a coup d'état, and destroyed crops. On 21 September, 1977, [Pen Youy]was arrested by Angkar.
