Summary / Abstract :
|
In 1970, Chhoeung Sovath [allegedly]joined the CIA. [Sovath]then inspired students to oppose communist regimes and to love liberal regimes, built up CIA forces among students, kept track of Khmer Roug e movements, and destroyed Khmer Rouge forces. After 1975, he was evacuated by Angkar to Region 5, where he started to figure out the number of new people and the number of teachers and professors to be admitted into Angkar, so as to build up traitorous forces. He also inspired people to hate the revolution, burned a commercial warehouse in Region 5, and destroyed agricultural tools. On 3 July, 19 77, he was arrested by Angkar.
