Summary / Abstract :
|
In 1949, Saom Chea was responsible for printing leaflets for the Free Khmer Movement in the Eastern Zone, under the leadership of Ya. In 1953, [Chea]worked under the supervision of Keov Sovan, Governo r of Prey Veng Province. In 1958, [Chea]followed the orders of Siv Heng to assasinate important leaders, and killed Touch as Lon Nol ordered. In 1973, while [Chea]was governing Khoh Thom Division, [Ch ea]hid food supplies for the Vietnamese and found a place for the Vietnamese to stay. Additionally, with the cooperation of the Vietnamese and Easterners, [Chea]planned a coup on 15 March 1978, Chea w as arrested by Angkar.
