Summary / Abstract :
|
Tuon Chandara alias Phan was a woman who worked in the Ministry of Public Works, in Department S-8 in Kampong Cham Province. In 1968, she was introduced by her father, Tuon Lang, former Kampong Cham P rovincial Governor, to be [allegedly]a spy for CIA. Then, she started to build up CIA forces, spied on the revolution's headquaters in the city, inspired people to oppose the revolution, split up stru ggling movement of students in the city, and arranged plans to stage a coup d'état. On 25 April, 1977, [Tuon Chandara]was arrested by Angkar.
