Summary / Abstract :

Ly Phen got involved in political affairs in 1956 and was led by Vinh Kinh (Khmer Krom). In 1960, [Phen]went to study with Ieng Sary's wife. In 1968, [Phen]became a member of the Khmer-Chinese Friends hip Association and worked in Kampuchea Bot school. [Phen]was later appointed a political teacher, to teach in rural areas in Region 23. In 1969, [Phen]was transferred to teach soldiers in the Eastern Zone and was promoted to be an Assistant Secretary of Political Commissary School. In 1975, [Phen]brought dollars and gold to give to Vinh Kinh (Vietnamese]to take authority from the revolution. At t hat time, Chakrei arranged a plot ordered by General Commander Chhouk, to arrest Brother Number 1 and Brother Number 2.
