Summary / Abstract :

Lam Viry was an engineer in Russia. Before returning to Cambodia, [Viry]joined a meeting and received a plan from Hak Seang Layny to inspire the mass movement to support the National United Front aime d to establish a new Cambodia in 1972. In August 1976, [Viry]arrived in Cambodia and lived with Angkar. Then, [Viry]started carrying out the scheme to gather forces to conduct traitorous actions. [Vir y]also caused many difficulties to the revolution by raising the problem of communal meals, demanding private ownership, and inspiring intellectuals to oppose the collective system until arrested by A ngkar.
