Summary / Abstract :

In 1965, Leang Iev Meng joined the Vietnam Workers' Party, backed by Vietnam, but opposed the revolution. In 1970, [Leang Iev Meng]led a number of Chinese to infiltrate Kampong Speu, conducted actions against the formal revolution and supported Vietnam instead. [Iev Meng]was afterwards assigned by Angkar to learn how to make gun-power, mines, and to repair guns from the Vietnamese. In 1971, [Meng] went to teach how to make gun-power at Phnom Oral, and then inspired cadres there to be against the revolution. In 1975, [Meng]was moved to a clothing factory in Chaom Chao, and destroyed property in the unit until arrested by Angkar.
