Summary / Abstract :

Mao Phan, Assistant Secretary of Battalion 16 of Region 505, [allegedly]joined a betrayal meeting which took place in 1978 and focussed on the attack against the revolution. The planned manoeuvres wer e, hiding food supplies and weapons to for Lon Nol soldiers, and to permit the soldiers of the revolution's enemy to evacuate the inhabitants of Kratie Province to the forest in order to form troops. He attacked cars of the revolution's soldiers which caused many deaths. On 1 April, 1978, Phan was arrested by Angkar.
