On the back page of Pich Chan's confession, is a note, which reads: 'I worked for a period of time in a bank. Afterwards, Angkar decided to put on hold the use of Riel currency. Then, I had to work in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Bejing up to the present. Before I went to complete my work abroad, Khuon invited me to have a meal at Chaing Chamreh. At that time, Khuon invited ..... At first, " Brother" Van did not know Khuon invited personnel at the Foreign Ministry. (As I can remember, though not really clear)"Brother" Yem and Kem told me that Khuon had already asked "Brother" Van about th is, but it was heard that "Brother" Van did not allow it. So, they just kept quiet. In the evening of the same day, I heard Kem said "Brother" Van said it was up to our comrades.'

Summary / Abstract :

Phich Cheang joined the revolution's Party Committee in Kampong Cham in 1964, chaired by "Bo" who was the party leader. [Pich Cheang]was then assigned to inspire workers at a rubber plantation to resi st, and spread leaflets among villages in the farm. [Pich Cheang]was later imprisoned by the enemy. In prison, [Pich Cheang]contacted the revolutionary networks in the jail in order to conduct activit ies. In 1970, [Pich Cheang]was out of prison, and was put in charge of the military in Kampong Thom and Kampong Cham, to lead solidiers in battles. [Pich Cheang]used to have contact with Khuon and Doe un, who educated [Cheang]to be traitor, but [Cheang]failed to carry this out.
