Summary / Abstract :
|
In 1962, Socheat was a messenger assigned to carry leaflets to Chhouk and Chakrey in Prey Veng Province. In 1963, [Socheat]was a monk as well as a messenger. At that time, [Socheat]educated monks in T uol Sing temple about liberal regimes. After 1970, [Socheat]inspired combatants to join the Free Khmer association when [Socheat]worked in the Security Office in Region 24. In 1973, during battle, as ordered by Chakrey, [Socheat]fired the gun at combatants, and wasted bullets. After the liberation day in 1975, [Socheat]gathered medicine, foodstuff, dollar and gold, and spread leaflets and comtacte d Chhouk, in order to prepare Vietnamese and Lon Nol soldiers to attack the revolution. In May 1976, [Socheat]was arrested by Angkar.
