Hin Han, soldier of municipal commerce confessed that Yat moved to work at Kampong Som state commerce in May 1975. Yat made contact with Ek, deputy chief of 50-cell. Yat joined Free Khmer in January 1976. Yat attended a meeting and received a plot from Ek to burn down Kampong Som hospital.
ហ៊ិន ហាន យុទ្ធជនពាណិជ្ជកម្មក្រុងបាននិយាយថាៈ យ៉ាត មកនៅ ពាណិជ្ជកម្មកំពង់សោមក្នុងខែ៥ ឆ្នាំ១៩៧៥ ហើយបានទាក់ទង ជាមួយឈ្មោះ អែក អនុកងហា។ យ៉ាត ចូលខ្មែរសេរីនៅខែ១ ឆ្នាំ១៩៧៦។ យ៉ាត បានចូលរួមប្រជុំទទួលផែនការពី អែក អោយដុតមន្ទីរពេទ្យកំពង់សោម។
