On November 26, 1973, maybe 400 Khmer Communist armed forces under a commander Chhoem Mom, armed with two 82mm mortars, three 60mm mortars and other rifles, had moved from Phnom Srang towards at VT 738-659, in Kanleang village, Samdech Chuon Nat district, Kandal province.
កាលពីថ្ងៃ២៦-វិចិ្ឆកា-១៩៧៣ ខ្មែរកុម្មុយនិស្ដចំនួនប្រហែល៤០០ នាក់ក្រោមបញ្ជាការឈ្មោះ ឈឹម មុំ ប្រដាប់អាវុធគ្រប់ដៃមាន កាំភើ្លងត្បាល់៨២មម ២ដើម, ៦០មម ៣ដើម និងអាវុធផេ្សងៗ ទៀតបានធ្វើចលនាចេញពីភ្នំស្រង់ រួចមកតាំងជម្រកនៅភូមិកល្លាង ចំណុចវ៉េតេ ៧៣៨-៦៥៩ ស្រុកសមេ្ដចជួនណាត ខេត្ដកណ្ដាល។
