On June 8, 1973, 300 North Yuon Viet Cong Armed Forces and Khmer Viet Cong deployed themselves along Pring Channel and stored weapons and food at VT 270-685 in Chrey Thom village, Sangkat Damnak Cha-Ae, Kampong Trach district, Kampot province.
Those enemies were reinforcements and attempted to attack the National Army Position in Kampong Nong a short time later. កាលពីថ្ងៃទី៨ ខែមិថុនា ឆ្នាំ១៩៧៣ យៀកកុងយួនខាងជើង និងខ្មែរ ឧទ្ទាមប្រមាណ៣០០នាក់ បានមករាយគ្នាស្នាក់នៅតាមបណ្ដោយ អូរព្រីង ព្រមទាំងស្ដុកគ្រឿងសញ្វាវុធ និងស្បៀងត្រង់ចំនុចវ៉េតេ ២៧០-៦៨៥ ភូមិព្រៃធំ សង្កាត់ដំណាក់ចង្អើរ ស្រុកកំពង់ត្រាច ខេត្ដកំពត។ ខ្មាំងទាំងនេះគឺជាទ័ពជំនួយ និងមានបំណងប្រុងវាយ ប្រហារទីតាំងការពារជាតិយើងនៅកំពង់នង់ក្នុពេលឆាប់ៗនេះ។
