After the event of March 18, 1970, Tun Nut, was lured by two Khmer Rouge members Yum and Yap, to serve a Khmer Rouge Movement as a food supplier. On March 25, 1974, he defected to the National Army.
ក្រោយព្រឹតិ្ដការណ៍ថ្ងៃទី១៨ ខែមីនា ឆ្នាំ១៩៧០ ទន់ នុត ត្រូវបាន ខ្មែរក្រហមពីររូបឈ្មោះ យុំ និង យ៉ាប បានអូសទាញឱ្យបម្រើក្នុង ចលនាខ្មែរក្រហមក្នុងតួនាទីជាអ្នកផ្ដល់ស្បៀង។ នៅថ្ងៃទី២៥ ខែមីនា ឆ្នាំ១៩៧៤ ជននេះបានសុំចុះចូលក្នុងសង្គមជាតិជាមួយកងទ័ព ជាតិវិញ។
