A source reported that on April 24, 1973, about 500 Khmer Viet Cong Armed Forces came up from Boeng Veal Sam Nap and deployed along a village in Eastern Boeng Kampean from VT 964-786 to VT 961-811, between Sangkat Arey Khasat and Sangkat Svay Chrum, Lvea Em district, Vihear Sour province. The stressed that the enemies were about to attack the National Army in Svay Chrum, the Marine Corps at Chroy Chang Va, and Phnom Penh a short time later.
ប្រភពបានផ្ដល់មកថា កាលពីថ្ងៃទី២៤ ខែមេសា ឆ្នាំ១៩៧៣ ខ្មែរ យៀកកុងប្រហែល៥០០នាក់ ប្រដាប់ដោយអាវុធគ្រប់ដៃ បានឡើង ពីបឹងវាលសំណាប រួចចូលមករាយគ្នាបណ្ដាក់គ្នាតាមបណ្ដោយភូមិខាង កើតកំពាន់ ចាប់ពីចំណុចវ៉េតេ ៩៦៤-៧៨៦ រហូតមកទល់ចំណុច វ៉េតេ ៩៦១-៨១១ ក្នុងចន្លោះអរីយក្សត្រ និងសង្កាត់ស្វាយជ្រំ ស្រុកល្វាឯម ខេត្ដវិហារសួគ៌។ ប្រភពបានបញ្ជាក់ថា គោលបំណងប្រុង វាយប្រហារទីតាំងកងទ័ពជាតិនៅវត្ដស្វាយជ្រំ និងឆ្លងមកវាយ បន្ទាយម៉ារីននៅជ្រោយចង្វា ជាពិសេសខ្មាំងនឹងបាញ់កាំភ្លើងធំផ្លោង ចូលក្រុងភ្នំពេញ នៅក្នុងពេលឆាប់ៗខាងមុខនេះ។
