On April 7, 1973, about 700 Khmer Viet Congs in Khaki uniforms equipped with AK-47 guns, M-79 guns, B-40 guns and seven 82 mm mortars came to set up shelters in Thkov village at VU 960-418, in Cheung Prey district, Prey Veng province. About 200 Khmer Viet Congs Armed Forces in Battalion 301, under the command of comrade Lek, and 200 others in Battalion 334, under command of comrade Mey, came to set up shelters at VU 918-420, in Svay Prey village and at VU 959-385, in Kvet village. These enemies were about to attack the National Army in Pha Av in the future.
កាលពីថ្ងៃទី៧ ខែមេសា ឆ្នាំ១៩៧៣ ខ្មែរយៀកកុងប្រមាណ៧០០នាក់ ក្នុងសំលៀកបំពាក់តេ្រអ៊ី ប្រដាប់ដោយអាវុធអាកា-៤៧, អឹម៧៩, បេ៤០ និងកាំភ្លើងត្បាល់៨២មីលីម៉ែត្រ ចំនួន៧ដើម បានមកតាំង ជម្រកនៅភូមិថ្កូវ ត្រង់វ៉េអ៊ុយ ៩៦០-៤១៨ ស្រុកជើងព្រៃ ខេត្ដព្រៃវែង។ ខ្មែរយៀកកុងប្រហែល២០០នាក់ ក្នុងកងវរសេនាតូច៣០១ ក្រោមបញ្ជាការឈ្មោះមិត្ដ ឡេក និង២០០នាក់ទៀត នៅកង្នុកងវរសេនាតូច៣៣៤ ក្រោមបញ្ជាការ ឈ្មោះមិត្ដ មុី បានមកតាំងជម្រកត្រង់វ៉េអ៊ុយ ៩៨១-៤២០ ក្នុងភូមិស្វាយព្រៃ និងត្រង់វ៉េអ៊ុយ ៩៥៩-៣៨៥ ក្នុងភូមិខ្វិត។ ពួកខ្មាំងទាំងនេះមានបំណងប្រុងវាយកងទ័ពជាតិនៅផ្អាក ក្នុងពេល ឆាប់ៗនេះ។
