A source reoported that some 350 Khmer Viet Congs in Battalion 509, set up shelters in a forest south of Chong dong and Sra Yauv village at VV 936-133, VV 920-136, VV 915-127 and VV 927-120, in Sangkat Trapeang Russei, Kampong Svay district, Kampong Thom district. Those enemies were about to smash Kampong Thom provincial town a short time later.
ប្រភពបានផ្ដល់មកថា ខ្មែរយៀកកុងប្រហែល៣៥០នាក់ ក្នុងកងវរ សេនាតូច៥០៩ បានមកទីជម្រកនៅក្នុងព្រៃខាងត្បូងភូមិចុងដូង និងភូមិស្រយ៉ូវ ត្រង់វ៉េវ៉េ ៩៣៦-១៣៣, វ៉េវ៉េ ៩២០-១៣៦, វ៉េវ៉េ ៩១៥-១២៧ និង វ៉េវ៉េ ៩២៧-១២០ ក្នុងសង្កាត់ត្រពាំង ឬស្សី ស្រុកកំពង់ស្វាយ ស្រុកកំពង់ធំ។ ពួកខ្មាំងខាងលើនេះមាន បំណងប្រុងវាយលុកក្រុងកំពង់ធំ ក្នុងពេលឆាប់ៗនេះ។
