On May 14, 1973, some 200 Khmer Viet Cong Armed Forces under the command of Ta sSam, in unit 31 came to stay at VT 686-601 in Porng Toek village, Preah Ne Pean sub-district, Kandal Stung district, Kandal province. Those enemies were about to smash the National Army base in Prey To Toeng a short time later.
កាលពីថ្ងៃទី១៤ ខែឧសភា ឆ្នាំ១៩៧៣ ខ្មែរយៀកកុងចំនួន ២០០នាក់ ក្នុងអង្គភាព៣១ ប្រដាប់ដោយអាវុធគ្រប់ដៃ ក្រោម បញ្ជការឈ្មោះ តាសំ បានចូលមកស្នាក់នៅភូមិពងទឹក ត្រង់វ៉េតេ ៦៨៦-៦០១ ក្នុងសង្កាត់ព្រះនិញ្វាន ស្រុកកណ្ដាលស្ទឹង ខេត្ដកណ្ដាល។ ពួកខ្មាំង ទាំងនេះប្រុងវាយទីតាំងកងទ័ពជាតិនៅព្រែកទទឹង ក្នុងពេលឆាប់ៗនេះ។
