The source reported that on May 10, 1973, about 300 Khmer Viet Cong Armed Forces in Battalion 245, under the command of Thun Yat, and Bun Than, set up shelters in Chraoy Snar village at VT 726-557, Mongkol Borey district of Battambang province. The sorce added that on May 16, 1973, the enemies moved to join 500 strong unit under the command of Pheak Sari, and located in Boengkok forest at VT 733-607, eastern Boengkok village, sangkat Kdol, Mongkul Borey district, Battambang province.
ប្រភពបានផ្ដល់មកថា កាលពីថ្ងៃទី១០ ខែឧសភា ឆ្នាំ១៩៧៣ ខ្មែរយៀកកុងចំនួនប្រហែល៣០០នាក់ ស្ថិតនៅក្នុងកងវរសេនាតូច លេខ២៤៥ ក្រោមបញ្ជាឈ្មោះ ធន់ យ៉ាត់ និង ប៊ុន ថន ប្រដាប់ដោយអាវុធគ្រប់ដៃ បានតាំងជម្រកនៅភូមិជ្រោយស្នា ត្រង់ចំណុចវ៉េតេ ៧២៦-៥៥៧ ស្រុកមង្គលបូរី «បាត់ដំបង»។ ប្រភពបានបន្ថែមថា មកដល់ថ្ងៃទី១៦ ខែឧសភា ឆ្នាំ១៩៧៣ ខ្មាំងនេះបានធ្វើចលនាចេញពីតំបន់នោះ ដើម្បីជ្រកជាមួយកងទ័ពថ្មី ទៀតចំនួន៥០០នាក់ ដែលនៅក្រោមបញ្ជាការ ឈ្មោះ ភាគ សារី ប្រដាប់ដោយអាវុធទំនើបៗ ដែលមានទីជម្រកនៅព្រៃបឹងកុក ត្រង់ចំណុចវ៉េតេ ៧៣៣-៦០៧ ខាងកើតភូមិបឹងកុក ក្នុងសង្កាត់ក្ដុល ស្រុកមង្គលបូរី «បាត់ដំបង»។
