On February 6, 1971, about 100 Khmer Rouges and 15 Viet Congs sheltered in a forest at VT 700-765, 704-768, 704-763, 703-774, 707-777 and 710-771. On February 7, 1971, about 300 North Yuon Viet Cong armed forces sheltered at VT 763-834, 763-838,
768-833 and 770-844, in Ang Snuol district, Kandal province, they were about to attack Tuol Kok. កាលពីថ្ងៃ៦-កុម្ភះ-១៩៧១ មានពួកខ្មែរក្រហមប្រហែល១០០នាក់ ដែលមានយួន១៥នាក់ បានមកតាំងទីជម្រកនៅព្រៃមួយត្រង់ចំណុចវ៉េតេ ៧០០-៧៦៥, ៧០៤-៧៦៨, ៧០៤-៧៦៣, ៧០៣-៧៧៤, ៧០៧-៧៧៧ និង ៧១០-៧៧១។ កាលពីថ្ងៃ៧-កុម្ភះ-១៩៧១ យៀកកុងប្រហែល៣០០នាក់ មានអាវុធគ្រប់ដៃបានមកតាំងជម្រក នៅត្រង់ចំណុចវ៉េតេ ៧៦៣-៨៣៤, ៧៦៣-៨៣៨, ៧៦៨-៨៣៣, ៧៧០-៨៤៤ ក្នុងស្រុកអង្គស្នួល ខេត្ដកណ្ដាល ខ្មាំងមានបំណងវាយប្រហារទួលគោក។
