On February 24, 1971, around 600 North Yuon Viet Congs established shelthers at WT 280-400, in Prek Tauch village, sangkat prek Tonloab, Prek Dach district, Kandal province. They had deployed anti-aircraft guns and mortars at WT 160-483, in Pra Sat Lae district, and at WT 159-475, in Pra Sat Kraom village, on the other hand, they attempted to destroy National Army Base in Prek Dach.
កាលពីថ្ងៃទី២៤ ខែកុម្ភះ ឆ្នាំ១៩៧១ មានយួនយៀកកុងប្រហែល ៦០០នាក់ បានមកតាំងជម្រកនៅភូមិព្រែកតូច ត្រង់ឌុបដឺវ៉េតេ ២៨០-៤០០ សង្កាត់ព្រែកទន្លាប់ ស្រុកព្រែកដាច់ ខេត្ដកណ្ដាល។ ម្យ៉ាងទៀតនៅភូមិប្រាសាទលើ ត្រង់ឌុបដឺវ៉េតេ ១៦០-៤៨៣ និង ភូមិប្រាសាទក្រោម ត្រង់ឌុបដឺវ៉េតេ ១៥៩-៤៧៥ ពួកខ្មាំងបាន តាំងកាំភ្លើងបាញ់យន្ដហោះ (ដេសេអា) និងកាំភ្លើងត្បាល់ផង ក្នុងបំណងវាយប្រហារមកកងទ័ពជាតិនៅព្រែកដាច់។
