On January 24, 1971, about 420 North Yuon Viet Cong armed forces divided themselves into small groups, and they then deployed in villager's houses and a forest in Chrey Las sub-district Ponhea Leu district. 200 enemies had hidden at VT:743-954 in Thmei village, 50 enemies at VT:767-947 and 70 enemies at VT:773-953 to VT:780-952. 100 enemies had placed mortars at VT:975-968 in Chrey Las sub-district, Ponhea Leu district, Kandal province.
កាលពីថ្ងៃទី២៤ ខែមករា ឆ្នាំ១៩៧១ ខ្មាំងវៀតកុងខាងជើងប្រហែល ៤២០នាក់ ប្រដាប់អាវុធបានបំបែកគ្នាទៅតាមផ្ទះអ្នកស្រុកក្នុងភូមិខ្លះ ក្នុងព្រៃខ្លះនៃសង្កាត់ជ្រៃលាស់ ស្រុកពញាឮ។ ខ្មាំង២០០នាក់ក្នុងភូមិថ្មី វ៉េតេៈ៧៨០-៩៥២, ៥០នាក់ វ៉េតេៈ៧៦៧-៩៤៧, ៧០នាក់ វ៉េតេៈ៧៧៣-៩៥៣ ដល់វ៉េតេៈ៧៨០-៩៥២, ហើយ១០០នាក់ ទៀត បានតាំងកាំភើ្លងត្បាល់នៅវ៉េតេៈ៩៧៥-៩៦៨ ក្នុងសង្កាត់ជ្រៃ លាស់ ស្រុកពញាឮ។
