On March 04, 1971, about 400 North Yuon Viet Cong soldiers moved from Kampong Cham province toward Kreang village at WT 257-994, in Prey Sra Lech sub-district, Pea Reang district. And 400 North Yuon Viet Cong soldiers set up shelters at WT 264-950, in Chrey Prek Dambang village, and 300 others stayed at Svay village VT 258-960, in Prey Sra Lech sub-district, Pea Rang district. They told villagers that they would launch a heavy to attack National Army, who were operating from Kampong Po Pel to the East of Country.
They told villagers that they attempted to attack national armed forces who were operating from Kampong Po Peus to the east of country. កាលពីថ្ងៃទី៤ ខែមីនា ឆ្នាំ១៩៧១ ខ្មាំងយៀកកុងយួនខាងជើងចុះពី កំពង់ចាមមកតាំងជម្រកនៅពារាំង តាមកន្លែងដូចតទៅៈ ភូមិក្រាំង ត្រង់ចំណុចឌុបដឺវ៉េតេ ២៥៧-៩៩៤ ក្នុងសង្កាត់ព្រៃ ស្រឡិច ស្រុកពារាំង ចំនួន៤០០នាក់ ប្រដាប់ដោយអាវុធ, ភូមិជ្រៃ ព្រែកដំបង ត្រង់ចំណុចឌុបដឺវ៉េតេ ២៦៤-១៥០ ចំនួន៤០០នាក់ ហើយនៅភូមិស្វាយ ត្រង់ចំណុចឌុបដឺវ៉េតេ ២៥៨-៩៦០ ចំនួន ៣០០នាក់ទៀត នៅសង្កាត់ស្រុកដដែល។ ពួកនេះបានប្រាប់អ្នក ស្រុកថា ពួកវានឹងបើកការវាយប្រហារធំមួយ ដើម្បីច្រានកងទ័ព ជាតិដែលកំពុងប្រតិបត្ដិការចេញពីកំពង់ពពិល ទៅទិសខាងកើត។
