Approximately 200 Khmer Viet Cong in black dress, equipped with certain weapons such as PM-AC guns, Karabine guns, CKC guns, ten B-40 guns, two 60mm mortars, hid in Popel Chrum village at VT 773--572, Trapang Veng sub-district, Kandal Stung district, Kandal province. They intended to attack National Army based in Prey Totoeng at VT767-604.
ខ្មែរយៀកកុងចំនួនប្រហែល២០០នាក់ ស្លៀកពាក់ខ្មៅប្រដាប់អាវុធ ដូចជាកាំភ្លើងប៉េអ៊ឹម-អាសេ, ការាប៊ីន, សេកាសេ, បេ-៤០ ១០ដើម, កាំភ្លើងត្បាល់៦០មម ២ដើម ចូលមកលាក់ខ្លួន នៅភូមិពពេលជ្រុំ ត្រង់ចំណុចវ៉េតេ៧៧៣-៥៧២ ក្នុងឃុំត្រពាំងវែង ស្រុកកណ្ដាលស្ទឹង ខេត្ដកណ្ដាល។ ខ្មាំងទាំងនេះមានបំណងវាយ ប្រហារកងទ័ពជាតិដែលប្រចាំការនៅតំបន់ព្រៃទទឹង ត្រង់ចំណុចវ៉េតេ ៧៦៧-៦០៤។
