On May 05, 1971, about 400 North Yuon Viet Cong Armed Forces, equipped with all kinds of weapons, came to build shelters up along the edge of Tonle Bassac river which located between Prek Pa-Ong at VT:050-386 and Prek Tasek, VT:053-389 Koh Thom district, Kandal province. These enemies attempted to destroy National Army base in Sa Ang district office.
About 200 Khmer Viet Cong, under the command of Ou theng, came to made up shelters at VT:070-914 in Sa Ang district, Kandal province, and 70 enemies of them were nominated to mine at VT:058-529, in Prek village for the raiding of National Army. កាលពីថ្ងៃទី៥ ឧសភា ១៩៧១ ពួកយៀកកុងយួនខាងជើងចំនួន ប្រហែល៤០០នាក់ ប្រដាប់អាវុធគ្រប់ធុនមកតាំងជម្រកតាមមាត់ ទនេ្លបាសាក់ ចន្លោះព្រែកតាអ៊ុង វ៉េតេៈ០៥០-៣៨៦ នឹងព្រែកតាសេក វ៉េតេៈ០៥៣-៣៨៩ ក្នុងស្រុកកោះធំ ខេត្ដកណ្ដាល។ ពួកខ្មាំងទាំងនោះ មានបំណងវាយប្រហារមកលើ ទីតាំងកងទ័ពយើងនៅសាលាស្រុកស្អាង។ ពួកខ្មែរយៀកកុងចំនួន ប្រហែល២០០នាក់ បញ្ជាការឈ្មោះ អ៊ូ ចេង មកបោះទីតាំង ជម្រកនៅត្រង់ចំណុចវ៉េតេៈ០៧០-៩១៤ ស្រុកស្អាង ខេត្ដកណ្ដាល។ ហើយពួកវាបានចាត់តាំងគ្នាវា៧០នាក់ អោយមកភូមិព្រែក វ៉េតេៈ០៥៨-៥២៩ រាល់យប់ដើម្បីបង្កប់មីនដើម្បីស្ទាក់ផ្លូវកង ទ័ពជាតិយើង។
